Hey B--I think we have talked about this before, but FYI, it was one of my mid 70s shows too...a lot of us went; 20 or so like minded friends.

Maybe I was the guy that spilled my drink on your foot, or maybe you were the guy in line at the urinal that ended up peeing on my foot. Interesting to think we were there together, and now are here together talking about it so many years later...

Cool.

Rastamon was there, too.

Nothing got spilled on me, and I didn't pee on anybody.

But do you remember seeing the Uncle Sam walking around on stilts?

And what about Won't Get Fooled Again from The Who?

The Who and The Grateful Dead---a combination of two very powerful forces of nature, a double-bill the likes of which will never take place ever again. Color us very lucky.

OK this is gonna seem weird but I remember an Uncle sam dude on stilts at a couple shows in the late 80's. Sometime in 87 or 88 I think but I just gotta wonder outloud if it was the same guy.

Could be, but 11-12 years is a long time to be walking around on stilts.

I'm guessing he took a rest room break every now 'n' then.

I DO recall that U Sam character! More than once, I think (ie, other shows, etc.). Must have been caught up in the '76 celebrations' or some such...

And yeah, nobody, thankfully, really pissed on me, but I did almost get ralphed on, which would have been a downer, even though I was really HAPPY at the time.

Thought the Who were great...though, I almost always liked 'inside' venues better (sound, etc.). Still, no complaints!
